{FASHION} What I wore in PARIS ft.LOUVRE

THE LOOK:( I CALL IT A STEAL!)

Metallic grey jacket- DEBENHAMS ( SALE -Rs.1700.MRP-5500)
Heart Cropped jumper- (HILL ROAD, Rs.250)
Tassel Belt -PROMOD( SALE -Rs.1000,MRP-Rs.2200)
OMBRE pants- ONLY( Sale Rs.1000, MRP- 2500)
Black Suede leather boots-  Springfield( From Pax-Colaba at just Rs.990, for an export piece of 55GBP)
Grey warmer- JOCKEY( Rs.300)

I loved doing these jumpy shots, because everyone around didnt bother. If you look closely, you see 2 couples almost so much in love. There was a certain air of romance and people dont shy, In france, the expression of LOVE is to let go, SET FREE- sealed with a kiss ;)

Hello folks!

I know you were waiting for these posts for a while now. I so wanted to reach Paris & discover that it was overly-hyped but NO! I fell in the trap. This beautiful city is indeed a gem. So dense, so artsy, even an year would be less to discover every interesting thing about this well-preserved capital. I will be telling you more about the city in my travel section, for now lets get back to our favorite-THE CLOTHES!

Paris is the fashion capital of the world and this made me google extensively on what i should wear to look as stylish as every Parisian around.I had all the pretty dresses with lace, stripes and flare on my mind, ofcourse complete with bumblebee glasses and a pretty hat. But ,SUPRISE! I did none of that. Forecasts said temperature range would be between 10-15 degrees and I didnt want to rattle in the cold like last year in Rome! ANOTHER SURPRISE: The parisians dress very much like how I did in Autumn. Every youngster has an edgy punk-rock-ISH vibe about his/her clothing. None of them really feminine. Though I did see the grandmas wearing the kind of stuff we imagine parisians would wear!

I carried 2 boots- The BEST idea ever. The trick is to keep your feet warm and the rest of the body can bear a little lesser warm clothes. Two warm tights to wear with the boots- The Marks & Spencer thermal tights did a wonderful job(Will show in the next post). Two Jackets- One I wore here: My favorite jacket ever from Debenhams( Got it for Rs.1700 in SALE,MRP 5500). Its a steal and ups your glamor quotient instantly- yes those frills make it look so awesome!

For my face, I wanted a nude look- So i opted for bold eyebrows( eyebrow liner + Loreal Kajal Magique) and Bourjois lip liner in No.12 and Deborah Milano Atomic Matt in No.2 . Wore Za Collagen cream with with my Rimmel London BB CREAM and BOOM- I loved how this turned out!

I wore this to the LOUVRE musuem , yeah , a date with Monalisa had to have a HEART! This quilted heart cropped top is warm and I got it for dirt cheap in Bandra(Rs.250) . It might still be around hill road , if you may want! No, I am not giving away this one yet! Hope you enjoy this look!
Stay tuned for all the FRANCE -WHAT I WORE posts & travel posts!

Till next time,

AU REVOIR

TRAVEL POST: Tramming in VIENNA

This time I was in Vienna , the capital of Austria which enjoys the 1st or 2nd position when it comes to the MOST LIVEABLE cities in the world. I can't agree more. And I tell you why! The city's transport system is highly intuitive. First time visitors will feel as if they have been living here for years. Inspite of the fact that English is not a primary language you can never get lost! Trams, metro trains and buses all have the SAME TICKET! Buy the ticket and you are on your own in the city. The best way to see the city centre( the historical Vienna which was declared a UNSECO World heritage site) is to take the Tram from a station near Stephenplatz, and get down at every station , explore and take the next tram to the next station. Guess what? The trams keep running in intervals of 5mins. How awesome is that! So when in Vienna, go TRAMMIN'! As for me, I can't wait to go back!

Inside an old tram which is predominantly made of Wood. I loved these over the new-age trams! Vienna has both. Vienna is known for Coffee. Do try the hot cup as the city is lined with cafes!

At the BELVEDERE Palace: The palace is too beautiful to be captured in its entire beauty in a lens. Not one picture on the web does justice. You have to be there to experience that beauty.
Each building is a piece of ART. I gave up after taking snaps of every building I saw. Too much beauty to capture in one camera!

This clean city has beautiful gardens throughout the roads and in historical palaces. All in full bloom!

Fountains are another pretty feature used generously in the city .

Way too happy in the city. I rarely do such poses. So you can imagine how insanely happy this place made me!

Finding the good old CCD was such a surprise. We had samosa , tomato soup , a slightly different menu from Indian menu.

If you are on Instagram, you have seen what I gulped at CCD earlier. Do follow more yummier updates :)

A beautiful amusement park -PRATER Park. Landed here only to see World's oldest & biggest Ferris Wheel

And here we enter NASCHMARKET. Home to over 120 shops. These barrels contains various types of Vinegars. Used in Salad dressings for that added spunk! Turkish food is a favorite with the Viennese people. You will find stalls from Turkish to American food. Such a celebration of cultures and cuisines. I loved the olives and pickles from Turkish stalls.

Now If only I weren't to say GoodBye. I chose to say CIAO! I will be back :)

The Sunday Brunch

“SUNDAY

The day..I planned a lot but actually do nothing.”
― Lovely GoyalI Love the Way You Love Me

The week rushes by at lightening speed when things go right. On other days, I pray hard it passes as quick. Like you ,even I put all my high hopes on Saturday and Sunday. For most of us, even Saturdays are reserved for the good ol' office. And then comes the universal lazy day - Sunday.

During mid-week , we plan about how we must go on a Sunday Brunch at city's lesser known cafes. South Bombay to be precise. Every Friday night, the eyes close with a dream to relish that much awaited Sunday Brunch. Then , the phone beeps. Whatsapp showers begin. Sunday at the beach? Sunday at our place? Sunday at the theatre? Sunday for that pop-up shop? And then my maid breaks the hailstorms in my mind with -Didi, x,y,z is over. Veggies need refill. Then I hear a crack, Holy Cow! Whats wrong with the fan? It stopped working! Oh and look, the blackberry - Reminder from the Boss. Be prepared for monday! Reminder from PR- When does the blog-post go live?

And its only in my Friday dreams, where I always meet ,The Sunday Brunch.

Palazzos, Tie-dye tank, neckpiece- Fleamarkets at powai, Bandra, Colaba| Floral hairband- Accessorize| Eyes- L'Oreal Kajal Majique
Have you been to your much awaited Sunday Brunch?

What I wore in Prague

After striking off 3 cities from the 10 most beautiful cities in the World: Venice, Florence & Rome and within a gap of 4 months, I couldn't believe I was going to witness another one on the list of the most beautiful cities in the world i.e PRAGUE or Praha as known in Europe( Thanks to his business trip, yayy!) The experience was beautiful beyond words. Friendly people, lip-smacking food ,but more about the city in my travel post. I will reserve this post for what I wore in temperatures ranging from 12 to 6 degrees. Europe weather is so unpredictable, it is almost a mistake if you skip your woolens. The travel photos as usual will follow in my travel post . Prague is the Capital of Czech Republic and if you have seen the classic romantic movie Casablanca , you know it already. Also , the movie chasing Liberty starring Mandy Moore revolves around Prague. Do watch them!

It was so cold my warmer set is peeking out from everywhere. Lol!

Rome was not built in a day!

While stands the Coliseum, Rome shall stand; / When falls the Coliseum, Rome shall fall; / And when Rome falls - the World.
 Lord Byron
COLOSSEUM, Rome
Rome certainly wasn't built in a day; nor can you enjoy the marvels that dot the ancient city of Rome in a day or even a week, for that matter! Every structure echoes the Roman saga. It only pains to leave Rome with so much unseen that i wish i can make up for the loss soon! Colosseum was the second wonder of the medieval world which I saw after the Leaning tower of Pisa. I used an audio guide to help me through the tour and believe me this was the best way to relive the unbelievably cruel past!

Of the noble ruins that remain of this ampitheatre from AD 80, two thirds has been destroyed by lightening, fires, earthquakes & other unfortunate events! What we see now is something the people from AD 80 would have never imagined. You can read about the gruesome history of this amphitheater online.

The Arena had trapdoors to let animals in as a dramatic act!

Trevi Fountain, Rome
Standing 85.28 feet high and 161.3 ft wide ,it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and the most beautiful in the world.A traditional legend holds that if visitors throw a coin into the fountain, they are ensured a return to Rome. You think i tried this? Keep guessing ;)

Dress, Jacket- GLOBUS. Slip-ons- MONSOON
Spanish Steps

On the way to the ancient temple of Venus- the goddess of Love

What i wore : Florence & Pisa

  1. "Italy, and the spring and first love all together should suffice to make the gloomiest person happy." --Bertrand Russell
Pisa is a painting so beautiful, you want to be a part of it!
THE FAMOUS FLORENCE LEATHER

Having climbed 400+ stairs to be here, no less than a victory!

And the feeling of victory continues! You have me conquered Florence!

A 1 hour train from Florence & here I am PISA!

Wandering the streets of the charming town

One of the 7 wonders of the Medieval World- The Leaning tower of Pisa is more beautiful than  its picture! It is 183 ft high and leans by
3.97 degrees - 12 feet, 10 inches (4m) off vertical

A view I never imagined, the famous tower peeks from behind the cathedral

The look of a satisfied me : Pizza, spaghetti & lots of Italy !
This has been my most favorite holiday look by far! Just the right amount of freedom with this airy Jumpsuit palazzo and elegance added with a white bolero .a touch of red with my Bourjois So delicate lipcreme.
