Behind the lenses and in front !

Here's my cousin Apurva who came down to Mumbai as she won a makeover contest at http://www.fashion-bombay.com/2011/10/girls-day-out-with-winner-1.html
These shots were directed and shot by me with a simple digicam. No professional gadgets here!

Since we both click each other ,you will be seeing her shots as well in some posts. Now that she is flying back to Delhi , we have done enough shoots in advance to keep the blog running till we meet next :)

The jumpsuit is what she bought as part of the makeover featured in the blog above. And this is how i styled her for my shoots.

Doesnt she look like a great painter !
The jumpsuit helps to shorten her length which is a staggering 5'10 1/2.
We added the black full sleeve top to give her a slimming look for her apple shaped body.
The painter props like the roller and the paint can clicked me instantly when i saw them lying around.
Post your views on this look here.I will be waiting for your comments.

Palazzo Play

And just when we thought futuristic clothing was the way forward, the fashion fraternity takes a REWIND to the 70s trend.
Palazzo Pants.
Seen in all its flavors from prints to solids, medium flares to wide flares in Spring-summer 2011, Palazzo is the word.

When i found these, they seemed almost as irresistible as would have an Apple to Adam .
They are best worn with skinny tops to avoid a ballooned look.
They are a boon for the taller crowd , as for the shorter girls it gives them the illusion of a shorter frame.
See how beautifully they hide the hips and since they are high waist, accentuate the waist further!

If you are out in the breezy weather, the air fills these pants and look prettier.
Perfect for a summer stroll on the street !

And to pair it with my Mom's 70s tusk neck piece was sheer delight.
I feel like a Hippie from the 1970s.My dad would wear the medium- flared pants back then; i can't wait to show him these :)

Urban Jungle

i have been waiting really long to grace my blog with yet another colorful post .And the time has come.My exams are over. yayyyy. And i couldn't be happier with a 3 day break and my cousin landing up at my place . Just the right time for some fashion hunts and fun.

Mumbai heat is carrying humidity from all around the world and i have been sweating like a million pigs !

I wanted to created an urban jungle look.
Fresh crisp white cotton shorts and some pop of color-with a sleeveless pink shrug and my shiny red skinny belt.
White is the perfect canvas to paint with bright colors and lots of Gold !

And since the sun reminds me of tribal fashion, i load my arms with chunky bone bangles combined with brass bangles in various textures and sizes.Remember, wear them from Larger circumference to small so that they look structured.

Also shown here is my latest find- a leopard print on wood ring which adds that wild daring look.
The beaded strappy sandals go well with all things short -single colors or earthy prints. Do not forget to paint ur nails in the neon shades of oranges, reds and pinks to give it the hot edge!
