{ Beauty } What is causing hair damage?

As a child, if there was 1 thing I would run from , that was oiling my hair! As I grew up, hair fall, dandruff, split ends became regular visitors. Pollution, stress levels, sun, erratic lifestyles, inadequate diets, etc., started playing havoc with my hair.

It became all the more necessary to take do something about hair damage. The easiest way to battle the damage is being friends with Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut hair oil. After 5 weeks of use,its a relief to see that  a hair oil can control damage to the hair. Split ends are a regular occurrence for most of us. This makes the hair very brittle and they start breaking off. Another hair damage is due to excessive use of chemical products on the hair and scalp. The product build-up leads to follicles getting choked. This hampers hair growth. Dabur Vatika hair oil nourishes the follicles to assist hair growth. It also smooths the hair strand and makes it resistant to breakage. Here's a low-down on the ingredients in this oil which make it powerful. The hair lose their shine as they dehydrate with chemical use. The ingredients in this oil bring back the lustre making your hair shine with health.

Lets have a look at the ingredients :

Amla:

Amla or the Indian gooseberry is a green wonder, especially for your hair. Whether you consume it or apply it locally, it is sure to give you long, lustrous locks and sort out all your other hair problems as well.Besides gloss, Amla also prevents pre-mature hair greying, treats lice as well as dandruff.

  Lemon:

Lemon improves the health of hair follicles. In fact regularly drinking lime juice can also rid your hair of toxins. It also acts as a scalp cleanser by removing the product build-up giving your follicles space to grow!

Henna:
Henna restores the acid-alkaline balance of hair besides being a natural conditioner. It also helps in treating dandruff and covering greys.

Allow the oil to penetrate through your scalp by leaving it for an hour.

{ REVIEW } Did you Peppertap?

She hated being home on holidays or even weekends.

Mom: Come let’s buy grocery. Dad: I need my cola refill, will you get it please?

Bro: Umm, I have a real urgent party to attend; can you get me that deo you got last time, please?

Why me? She would whine! And then she saw “PEPPERTAP” while browsing the App-store on her

mobile phone.

She quickly went to the FAQ section.

-          Free delivery on orders over 250!

-          Rs.50 on orders lesser than that!

A few liters of Cola guzzled by the dad and those veggies Mommie adds, 250 wasn’t even 1/4th their

grocery spend, she thought ! Also, the brother couldn’t cheat her with her pocket money anymore!

There is cash on delivery! Yoohoo!

And Dad’s Sodexo coupon can be used now ! OMG! How cool is that! Her Mom gets picky with the

veggies, so this could be tricky! But then, Peppertap allows returns at the time of delivery! It’s like the

store coming home!

But oh, bro wants to head out to a party tonight. When does the order arrive? Under 2 hours!!! This is

unreal , she screamed as she went

Cclicking on all the grocery items she could think of without even referring to the grocery list mommie

painfully made every single week!!!

This weekend was different. And holds a promise for better weekends!

And days when she’ s at work, she could schedule the delivery as per her schedule!

And what if something goes wrong, she decided to pin their 9am to 9pm helpline on their kitchen

calendar! Voila!!!

In the next 1 hour the house was covered in bags – Grocery, Colas and Deo! Check the app and be surprised!

She’s now an angel who doesn’t whine, just Peppertaps!

P.S I'm flying to a fun 2 week vacation tonight! See you from the other part of the world.

Last month was special. It was the 4th Anniversary of your favorite blog:)

You know whats the best way to reward yourself on a tiring day ?

A perfect setting- Peaceful, healing and caring.
A perfect companion ( Thank you GOD for that ! )
A perfect Therapy

Sukho Thai spa is the only place I have been going to for the past 3 years . Imagine my delight when they gifted me this treat on My Blog Anniversary ! Whats more? Today, the 5th of September, Sukho Thai is celebrating their 5th Anniversary in India and would be gratifying the guests with goodies! I can tell you with my experience with them for over 3 years- No one does it better than Sukho Thai Spa!
Sound proof studio grade glass, soothing music and the sound of ticking water is what greets you into Sukho Thai – The aroma, the ambience, the greetings at the reception, all spell ‘Thailand’! A Sukho Thai Foot massage not only pampers tired feet, it has health and emotional benefits as well.  The foot is a reflection of all body organs. The pressure point applied to the related body organ actually stimulates healing chemicals that helps people feel relaxed after the therapy.

Benefits:
As a holistic treatment, a foot massage:
  • Relieves stress
  • Helps promote restful sleep
  • Increases blood circulation
  • Helps build a better immune system
  • Increases alertness and overall well being

Massage has a long history of therapeutic healing in Thailand. Practiced for centuries, the roots of Thai massage are traced to Indian beginnings about 2,500 years ago and it has been one of the most effective and revered forms of massage practiced all over the world.

The Chinese and the Indians were believed to have greatly influenced the therapies and treatments developed in The Kingdom of Thailand. The theoretical basis of Thai massage lies in the theory of energy lines running throughout the body. Out of the 72,000 energy lines said to be in existence, the focus is on the 10 major lines called “sen”. Important acupressure points are found on these lines. Treatment for the whole body, different organs and diseases are often done by using the system of the 10 “sen”.

What I have tried so far:

  1. Thai Traditional Foot Massage ( 1650 Rs)
  2. Thai Foot massage with 2 therapists ( 3750)
  3. Foot massage with back ,neck and shoulder  (to be updated )
  4. Foot massage with Hot stones (to be updated )
  5. Foot massage with Herb Bun (to be updated )

As you can see I have tried all the therapies so far except the one with scrub. My experience was wonderful in each of these therapies!

My favorite therapies:
1.       Thai Traditional Foot Massage -60 minutes
2.       Foot massage with back ,neck and shoulder  -90 minutes

There are reclining massage chairs on which all therapies are performed. For all the massages, they start with placing your feet in a bowl of lukewarm water and wash it with their hands using soaps. A clean towel is used to wipe them and then the feet are placed on a soft stool. Massage oil with a strong eucalyptus aroma is then applied on the feet and the therapy begins. During the therapy they use stick like objects to press the pressure points on the feet. The massage also involves twisting and turning of the entire leg imitating some of the yogasanas. One becomes aware of all the parts of the feet that never existed! The mantra to get the best out of this session is to let go as the therapist applies pressure on various parts of the feet that might pain ,because its only for the good. At the end , the experience makes you want to get a massage every single week!

SUKHO THAI at Turner Road,Bandra

What I like about SukhoThai:

  • Ambience: Soothing is an understatement. Healing Aroma oils in the air and the sound of water and oriental music, feels heavenly during the therapy
  • There is pin-drop silence as the therapists perform therapies on several other clients in the dimly lit space and you would feel as if you are the only person there.
  • The Therapists are highly skilled in all therapies and ensure you feel comfortable
  • Before therapy, you change into comfortable pajamas to facilitate application of massage oil.
  • After the massage , they serve a bowl of fruits and ginger tea which feels so refreshing and therapeutic!
  • Thai Massage is not messy and you don’t need a bath post the therapy. You can step out the way you stepped in albeit completely relaxed.
  • Every Wednesday , there is a 1+1 offer . How exciting for a mid-week reward to your hard-working self!

Its time to reward yourself guys, if you have never done so with a therapy at Sukho Thai! Treat your senses! Visit www.sukhothai.in for more information!
