Bath & Body Spotlight : NYASSA Cocoa Butter Soap
For the last 3-4 years I am no longer a soap person.I always tend to drop my soap ,besides I dont like if the soap melts & becomes sloppy.Using a body-wash felt quite effortless! It would take nothing short of luxury to tempt me to use a soap again. On my recent trip to Turkey, I got attracted to handmade olive oil soaps which are fabulous. Luckily Nyassa has olive oil soaps which I will review next. In the past I have used Nyassa's Vanilla Dry fruit bar. The current line-up from Nyassa is so tempting, I have made a list of To-be-tested and it seems never-ending!
Brand: Nyassa
Soap : Cocoa Butter
Type : Handmade butter soap
Price : INR 300
What the product says:
Vanilla Extract - Vanilla Extract impoves skin tone & rejuvenates tissue. This prevents cell damage and keeps your skin healthy and nourished.
Dry Fruit extract - Dry Fruits Extract - Dry fruit extract acts as an excellent moisturizing agent. It also helps in conditioning and is a natural defence against wrinkles
For best results, a rub or two will give excellent lather & the soap will last much longer. Please keep the soap dry between use.
For best results, a rub or two will give excellent lather & the soap will last much longer. Please keep the soap dry between use.
For normal to very dry skin
The Good:I love dressing up everything. That pine fruit is from my recent trip to Vienna,AUSTRIA. Vanilla sticks from GOA. |
Cocoa Butter,Vanilla, Almonds,Pistachio,Dry figs, Aloe vera, sweet almond oil....I am almost fainting with the goodness! |
I love this Ceramic Soap dish I got from LIFESTYLE HOMECENTRE. It is ideal for handmade soaps. So earthy! |
- The rich ingredient list will almost make you melt, thinking of all the goodness! ( See picture)
- The soap feels like a dollop of hardened butter in your hands. Me LIKES!
- The inclusion of dry-fruits on one side makes it feel like some royalty bath ritual !
- The cocoa-Vanilla fragrance is so intensely natural, it uplifts the senses. Its like a mini Spa at home.
- It doesn't melt & stays firm.
- The lather is minimal indicating minimal use of harmful lather agents (SLS). Another thumbs up!
- When you use the soap, it almost feels like you are rubbing a moisturizing lotion all over. It will not dry your skin after use. However, for harsh winters it is always wise to follow up with a body butter. ( OMG!...they have a body butter too!!!)
- A perfect reason to not run away from baths during winter! (haha! Need better reasons?)
The Bad:
This soap is a treat to the senses & the quality is unmatched. The only lowdown is the price tag.
Also, I would prefer if the ingredient percentages were mentioned in the label.
Would I recommend this to you:
Yes. Very much, if you consider natural ingredients as a way of life.
Bathroom luxury is another level of pampering your worn out senses.
Feeling low? Rub on some soap, girl! The moment this soap graces your bathroom shelf, you know you are are in for a luxury ride! As for me, I wish, the price tag of INR 300 was almost half. Luckily for a single person usage, this soap lasts a good one month & more.Treasuring it as I go, using sparingly so that it lasts as long as it can! Hoping, one day, this will be my regular soap! Sigh!
HAVE YOU TRIED HANDMADE SOAPS? What is your experience? I want to know :)
Here's a sneak peek of the next yummy soap in town: Review coming soon.

“For women, shoes are the most important. Good shoes take you good places.”
― Seo Min Hyun
― Seo Min Hyun
There are two types of footwear that you generally shop for:
1.Type I : Daily comfort wear ( Office/College/Running errands)
2. Type II : Party footwear which need not be comfortable always, or let us say, they don't make stylish comfortable shoes here!
I have been recommending PAVERS to most men around as the formal wear & slip-ons from PAVERS last more than 2 years & give maximum comfort. For the price you pay, I must say its the best output. The man in the house confirms! And now the men's loafers in pop colors are a sheer delight. Lucky Men! Except that men's footwear are always on the expensive side , but then they buy so few it kinda compensates.
For a lady with a 100, 000 pairs screaming- " I don't have shoes", you must understand that she has a reason! The variety in women's footwear is generally not a marriage of comfort with style. For a price upwards of Rs.2000, you may find some cushioning comfort ,yet the style quotient may not match up! Thankfully Pavers comes to the rescue with its wide range of women's footwear which is stylish+comfortable! It comes with a price tag but If you want to invest in a footwear that is ideal , then its a no-brainer to keep aside some budget for these PAVERS beauties! Slip into them , you might just know what I mean !
At Pavers, there is something for everyone ,right from your teeny bopper sister to your granny. Even the rain-footwear is so chic , you can barely make out its water-proof! As for today's post, I will talk about my 3 favorite categories at PAVERS England.

How to wear a T-shirt to Party
Too tired of wearing the same old dresses for parties? Perhaps you can check out the 3 looks i created for a party-ready you this season here ! If you have landed from that post, then,You just read about my Three Ultimate Party-wear Looks from ONLY. Featuring the 2nd look here :
LOOK 2: The Fizz in the bottle
The idea of this look came up when I spotted this Coca-Cola Tee. A t-shirt is the last thing you would pick up for partywear, isn't it? 3 Classic colors- Red, Black & white which are also symbolic of the Coca Cola bottle is what I captured in this look. Its a party look with a twist. The cardigan symbolizes the fizz. I love the PU detailing on this jacket. The bodycon skirt has bronze sequins inside a lacey sheath. The way it shines subtly in different exposure to lights is gorgeous. The pictures will tell you! So now you know, tee-shirts can also be party wear if combined with glamorous elements!

Marks & Spencer Store Launch in Mumbai
Recently M&S opened its largest store in India at Bandra,Mumbai & threw a party to celebrate the same followed by a fashion show showcasing the A/W collection. Graced by the entertainment industry's favorite icons , the ramp was totally on fire! While I enjoyed the generous servings of canapes , I lost all my heart to this jacket with matte sequins. A Sequin jacket is a staple for the holiday season , especially winters. If you have a sequin jacket, you can sit back & relax. It pairs up beautifully with almost everything in solid colors -jumpsuits, hot-pants,LBDs ,skater skirts or your quintessential denims! I have totally fallen in love with this piece & my eyes are all moist & hopeful, that someday, this jacket will land into my closet, almost like MAGIC!

What to do in Istanbul : My top 5
Outside Blue mosque |
Every travel story is different. Different choices, different perspectives. Here is my story for Istanbul: A land which is teeming with heritage structures and natural beauty. Every expert will guide you to visit Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Bosphorous etc. besides the oldest shopping streets of Grand Bazaar & the egyptian spice market ( Misr Carsisi). However, there is much more to experience in Istanbul besides these already documented sights. For me, these are the top 5 attractions to look out for:

Why FOREVER 21 is here to stay!
Indian fashionistas didn't know what they were missing until FOREVER 21 arrived. It has arrived and with a bang! Delhi already had a store since 2 years & now Mumbai has 3 stores at Oberoi Mall-Goregaon , Infinity Mall-Malad and Viviana Mall-Thane .There is menswear too , except in Malad store. Bloggers had a ball as the stores in Oberoi (inaugurated by Shraddha Kapoor)and Viviana(inaugurated by Jacqueline Fernandes) opened within a fortnight on Saturday mornings and what better way to start the weekends than to go crazyy at Forever 21stores! My favorite so far is the Oberoi Mall collection. Its not very feasible to go shopping at these 3 locations but if you have fallen for it, you will do EXCLUSIVE FOREVER 21 shopping sprees like I do. Infact I believe we should start this ALL GIRLS FOREVER 21 shopping gang which goes shopping together to save on taxi bills :P

My first pedicure at Jean Claude Biguine
"YOu know its time for a pedicure , when you can exfoliate one foot with the other" ....Eeeeks!
Why would somebody do that! Lack of time, perhaps! I was pretty much in that state when I was invited to Jean Claude Biguine, remember the cool hair-do I got there last time! So , I am this total DIY pedicure girl who never opted for a pedicure at a salon.

IStanbul- What I wore!
"İstanbul is a magical seal which unites Europe and Asia since the ancient times. Without a doubt, Istanbul is certainly the most beautiful place of the world." - Gerard De Nerval
So much beauty as one could take, as I stand under the bridge that joins two continents in the same city- None other than the capital of Turkey- Istanbul. Vibrant, noisy, artsy, vintage, modern, delightfully tasty all at the same time! - the life in Istanbul is so much similar to my homeland India. There is disparity of all sorts and many other vices ,(beauty aside) which made me relate to this beautiful city.

Capri Islands- What I wore
“He: "Whale you be my valentine?" She: "Dolphinitely.”
― Adam Young
The exotic italian island of Capri in the bay of Naples was the perfect setting for my love of turquoise & white. The entire landscape as you can see is dominated by these colors. To proclaim my love for these colors - my attire readily obliged ! This island was a famous resort of the Roman emperors! You mean since 27 BC ? ( head spins). Amazed how the beauty has been preserved. So, I must have been someone in the Roman empire,. No? The main feature of this island is that it is a unique combination of beauty & glamour. You will know more in my travel post on Capri!
You must wonder, why the running shoes? I was tired after 3 days of excessive walking in Rome and found solace in my comfy pair of Pumas .I wish I could have worn open sandals , but my aching feet didn't allow me to .
Nevertheless, i wore my favorite trends- Color-blocked skirt, White blazer, Animal motif chiffon blouse and my statement necklace to please myself. Carrying a blazer helps as the winds can get chilly . And glares, dare you forget them you will be blinded by the strong sun ! Leaving you with a glimpse of the beauty and the other pretty , glamorous details will follow in the next post ! So, enjoy these pictures and get ready for the Capri travel post next. I bet you haven't seen anything as beautiful and as GLAMOROUS as the island of Capri!
Blazer- China| Chiffon blouse, skirt- Flea market,Powai | Shoes- Faas 300 by PUMA| neckpiece- Delhi flea market |
Bay of Marina Picola |
Finally on the streets of Capri town |
The Gardens of Augustus, as you climb up the island, hypnotize you with its paradise-like panoramas Excited for the Capri Travel post? I chirp on Twitter. |

REVIEW : Oriflame Eco-beauty Range
"Honor the sacred. Honor the Earth, our Mother. Honor the Elders. Honor all with whom we share the Earth -- Four-leggeds, two-leggeds, winged ones, Swimmers, crawlers, plant and rock people. Walk in balance and beauty."~Native American Elder
Disclaimer: All views expressed here are my own, and has no influence from the company whatsoever
I have always gravitated towards eco-friendly products which are as much organic as possible! The Body Shop, Human Nature( Philiphines) , Innisfree ( Korea) , Dr.Hauschka( Germany) are some of my most favorite brands for organic skincare more because they are certified for what they claim and also deliver! When Oriflame contacted me to choose a product for review, I scoured the website like one happy child. To my surprise , they had an organic range too-the ECO -BEAUTY range. The Oriflame team surprised me by sending the entire range in May. I decided to give the range a good 3 months before i wrote this review for you.
Oriflame ecobeauty Range( From L-R ): shower gel, hand cream, night cream, day cream and eye cream
Their website has a dedicated interactive page for the entire range and for every 100 clicks they will plant a tree. Click to visit. (Turn on the sound feature if you'd like to soothe your senses.)
To know the significance of Eco-beauty, explore the video links below:
1) Fairtrade : The Oriflame team visits Kerala for sourcing their ingredient through fairtrade (Coconut.)
2) Vegan : All products are vegan
3) Ecocert : All products are Ecocert certified. Click to know more.
4) FSC : Learn about FSC certification here
Also,
Ecobeauty products are free from:
My Recommended picks from this range:
1. EcoBeauty Smoothing Day Cream ( INR 1290)
Feature: Fairtrade Shea Butter: One of nature’s great skin softening agents - used for its emollient properties, helping to protect the skin from dryness. Sourced from Burkino Faso, West Africa. The smell reminds me of massage oils from Grandma's stable. So pure and so natural. The cream absorbs quickly and brightens the face. Has been tried on both oily as well as dry skin. Infact acne-prone skin too. The skin feels smooth and nourished with daily use! Specially recommended for people with dry skin . Tried on Nik too, so men you can safely use this after your morning shave daily! 2. EcoBeauty Smoothing Night Cream ( INR 1390) Feature: Organic Coconut oil rich in vitamins and fatty acids, which nourishes and protects the skin against the visible effects of environmental stress. Sourced from Fairtrade Alliance Kerala, South-West India. I have been using this too over the last 3 months. I wake up to a radiant me. A bit greasy during monsoons due to high humidity levels but an excellent rejuvenator nevertheless. 3. Ecobeauty Smoothing Eye cream ( INR 690)
Feature: 1. Contains Swedish Lingonberry and Sea Buckthorn seed oils, rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, which nourish and protect the skin through their anti-oxidative properties
2. Contains Organic Tapioca Starch which gives a smooth, elegant texture on the skin.
Use it around the eye and after 10 days of regular use, you will notice a more hydrated under-eye area and smooth too. Recommended for all women over 20. Signs of fatigue start diminishing which is so desirable. The hand cream is hydrating but definitely not the best hand-cream around. If you have oily or normal skin, you can give it a try. The shower gel is good to have except that the fragrance could have been better than its grassy variant at present. Price Vs Quantity: For all the products, a little goes a long way. Worth the moolah! The range is on discounts this month. Refer the catalogue. Take your pick and tell me which one is your favorite! Shop the range online here. |

REVIEW: The Four Fountains Spa
When employees are happy, they are your very best ambassadors
-James Sinegal
If you think my title and quote don't match, don't panic as yet! I have already given you a hint of what is to come! 26th August as you know was our blog's 2nd Anniversary. The Four Fountains spa invited us to pamper ourselves on this achievement! I was offered a 1 hour therapy while Nik ( the secret person behind the camera) was offered a 30 minute therapy.
My verdict:
Ambiance: A spa must have an ambiance that soothes, calms and looks inviting. There is relaxing music, an aroma lingers of the most therapeutic herbs and the space is clean. If you are someone who is very particular about decor , then you may expect more work on the decor. I would give it 4 stars.
Options : I was surprised to find a wide variety of options that encompass all famous therapies- Thai, Swedish , Indian Ayurved that target Body aches, mental tension, immunity, ageing, beauty and all that we long for in this fast life.
Therapists: At spas, therapists make or break your experience. In most spas, you have to let go. There are therapies which require you to cover yourself with only few skimpy pieces of clothes. Hence its vital that the therapists have the ability to make you feel comfortable. They need to converse, be friendly in the right way. My therapist made me feel at ease and i didn't realize how the 1 hour passed . We chatted all along because I had to write a review said more than just' Its AWESOME'. Generally one would keep mum and doze off during the therapy. But I am glad i spoke to her. The spa trains their therapists in Pune in a 45 day program complete with exams. I think its important that these details are shared with the customers so as to instill trust, however the therapists are so good, you wouldn't have any doubts. The therapist took great care while she administered the most heavenly therapy on earth . My 5 stars to the therapy i chose and 5 stars to the fact that the therapists are so motivated, dedicated and satisfied with their work. The Four Fountains spa definitely deserves a mention here because only satisfied employees can work with this level of dedication .They are very serious about their ambition- To generate happy customers who keep coming back! The Head-Neck-Shoulder massage was great too. Remember, like most spas in India, there is no cross-massage here, so male therapists for men. The best part is, both the therapies were followed by a relaxing bath.
Staff : The staff at the reception is helpful too. And they love their Swedish Massage most of it all. Its a signature therapy here, so they will convince you to go for it. In-fact my therapy had moves same as that of Swedish Massage. Me loves!
Pricing: Like most spas, I find this expensive too. Maybe a 20-30 % drop would make me more comfortable. For those who can afford luxury, its a Go-Go! They do have package and weekday discounts that one can avail.
Will I recommend this to you: Well, if you have skipped all that i wrote above , I repeat, I will definitely recommend The four fountains spa. 5 Stars to the entire service!

When i opened the menu book ,it lured me to an extent that i got terribly confused! Thanks to the questionnaire, I could zero down on a suitable therapy. The spa has recently launched 12 new therapies and i picked one of them - The Signature Green tea Scrubassage while Nik picked the Head-neck-shoulder massage.
The exciting SPA MENU |
Dear Readers
Its been 365*2 days since we first met, talked, agreed, disagreed, laughed, frowned, and everything else! While i find reasons to talk to you, i know you keep waiting for me to speak to you! Seems like I have fallen in love, once again. You too? Say yes, will you?

TONI & GUY star-studded Launch
The premier British hair-styling brand TONI & GUY made an incredibly stylish entry into the Indian market with a star-studded launch brought to life by Celebrity stylist Mark Hampton, Ace designer Manish Arora . Strutting the Hair-Meets-Wardrobe philosophy were the Indian Divas - Malaika Arora Khan, Soha Ali Khan & Anusha Dandekar. Shiamak Dawar's dance troupe set the stage on fire and the evening saw the most scintillating dance moves!

*** Don't forget to select the option HD in Video Quality while you watch these videos.***
Press Conference was followed by a Performance by Shiamak Dawar's troupe & the 3 Divas
My 5 favorite highlights from the Launch:
2. Manish Arora : A favorite on the Global fashion scene and a favorite of Pop music divas like Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Fergie, etc. Manish is one designer whose collections can be spotted from anywhere. Quirky, Blasted with happy colors, dramatic silhouettes , a blissful marriage between Indian and western elements and there you have a Manish Arora. This man has the humility you don't find often. RESPECT!
I wore- Peplum Skirt, Glittery flats- ZARA | Top- H&M | Bag- Dharavi |
3. Mark Hampton : Did i hear- HOT? Enough said.

4. Shiamak Dawar's troupe: The lead dancer from Shiamak Dawar's troupe Aneesha Dalal was a treat to watch. I wish i was even half as good as her ( ....puts on her dancing shoes & shrugs) 3 performances with show-stoppers Malaika , Soha and Anusha and a surreal backdrop screen that changed with every song. The creative genius of Shiamak was witnessed by me for the first time! I must join him! Here are some snippets of the performances specially for you!
The Grand Finale performance with Malaika,Soha & Anusha
Happy Ending!
5.Desserts : Forget all the amazing finger food and Mediterranean -inspired main course I downed with my Virgin Mojitos. The desserts created by Taj Lands End pâtissier were not just visual delights but gastronomic too. Let the pictures do the talking!
More drool-worthy pictures from the Event on my FB page TFMQ. Hope you enjoyed this post as much as i did covering it!
