On Trend A/W 13: Faux Leather + PINK + Ombre Lips

"It seems we're always in transition and that it's more about trends than it is about what's meaningful."

The season of love, holidays, weddings and so much glee; even the slightest chills in Mumbai instills my faith in the Weather Gods. For readers in the colder parts of India and for those going on a holiday, its the perfect time to ready the warm companions.
Its a natural thing for a fashion-conscious woman to overuse words like 'Trends', 'Fall' especially when the weather is in transition.A wardrobe should define a woman: her personality, her choices, her perspectives , her moods, her body. You cannot let trends do that for you.Trends come and go.You pick what makes sense to you and dismiss what doesn't. I am completely against running after trends and updating your wardrobe for the sake of being 'On-Trend'.
So why would I talk trends anyways? When you find something in your wardrobe that has been a runway favorite you can't help but talk about it, flaunt it and pretend that you are 'On-trend'. After all, who doesn't like some drama!

1. FAUX LEATHER PANTS:

They are a favorite in the South East Asian nations. Most women wear it almost all round the year. A faux leather pant can be glossy or matte. The glossy ones look great in the night paired with long jackets, tunics or jumpers. Zip on your favorite boots and you are ready to rock! I picked this piece in August during the SALE season and boy, Am I Glad!

2. PINK JACKET :

Dusty hues of pink were seen all over the runway in Autumn winter 2013 . I got this piece last December for my Italian holiday but didn't wear it back then. This was my first jacket bought on Ebay.COM ( Hong Kong). A good experience except that the buttons are not stitched firmly and would need to be stitched back!

3. OMBRE LIPS:

I was wanting to do ombre lips ever since I saw it all over the internet. I enjoyed doing it for the first time & can safely say that this look can be worn for a party/wedding be it day or night. Its not OTT drama but really subtle and attractive!  I have used bright red for my upper lip and a fuschia for my lower lip. For tips, do drop me a comment and I will be happy to answer.

Did this look cost a bomb? NO WAY! Jacket( 1200 INR), Pants( 700 INR ,SALE), bib necklace( 250 INR,SALE). *Does the happy ,crazy dance*

P.S I could take only 6-7 shots for this look, the watchman caught me at theTerrace!Argghhh!

Hope you enjoyed the bigger pictures and the post . Would love to hear from you in the comments!
