Why is there so much excitement around the unseen? Around 'What is unusual & undiscovered'?
When you visit Silvette, you will feel the same excitement . Statement pieces, hand-crafted in semi-precious stones, unique in their own way . These must belong to the perennially empty jewel-box!

Minimalism would be the usual guess,if you saw this black & white dress first,and a serious backdrop too.But I wanted to do the unusual .A formal dress,chunky semi-precious jewellery & a graffiti rich backdrop, all in this one look!

I have seen Silvette.com evolve in their collection ever since they launched a few months back. There is a flavor of individuality which every SILVETTE piece reflects. The best part is they keep refreshing their collection every few months, which means not many people will have same pieces! I just wish they have more pictures of the product on the website which will help us to make the right choice! Ready to raid silvette? Start now, so that we see more new collection ;)

The collection always has something for every weather as they cater worldwide. Bombay is seldom cold, as you can see the state in December, nonetheless its romantically pleasant! If I was at a cooler place, I would replace those pumps with my black suede boots and add tights to this outfit!
SHEINSIDE always has some SALE going on, which can only tempt you further. My belief in online shopping for clothes is only strengthening which such International websites. The options are increasing every single day!

Hello, Fashionistas!

This is yet another holiday set that I will be wearing on my next vacation . You saw the first one here. Everytime I explore places, I reveal the styling only after I am back from the vacation. This time I decided to do it the opposite way! Thanks to POLYVORE, a fashion website where you can upload your product images or search from a huge selection and create your own collages.

These collages will also ensure I do not forget to pack all the accessories along. Whenever I travel, I tend to pack a certain style together unless I wish to repeat it due to luggage constraints. This time, I am visiting a place where Autumn will set in and the temperatures will range from 10 degrees to 16 degrees. The place is a surprise , so that you don't lose track of my TWITTER and INSTAGRAM accounts for regular updates! Wouldn't it be exciting to see this collage when I actually wear it? Sorry for the long wait but before you made your beach-vacation plans ,here I am with the post
on beachwear. Our very own land , our very own crazy GOA . I have been here thrice this year
after I broke the jinx of umpteen failed plans & visited Goa for the first time in Feb 2013! I have
fallen in love with this trance-nation and there is no coming back!

If you are in India & you are in Goa, you can definitely go bold with a bikini .Especially in North
Goa, where you find more foreigners than Indians. However the safest stylish beachwear on the
Indian shores are Kaftans, shorts & sun-dresses .

Here is a break-up of what I am wearing. Except the flip-flops all items I wore are shown here.
These are my 3 favorite trends which will never go wrong on a beach.Try them and tell me how they work for you!

1. NEONS

Overly used and worn since 2013 , neons look amazing in beach-wear including swimwear. Its because the sunlight does special mercy on neons at the beaches.

2. GO CHUNKY

For a carefree movement,its better to go accessory-free on beaches however, if you would like to spruce up your photos stick to chunky floral headbands, bandanas and chunky handcuffs or neck-pieces.

3. FLOWY

A beach represents fluidity, grace and infinity. Become one with the elements by embracing all those flowy garments : Kaftans, maxi dresses & sun-dresses.

About the look i created ( Sorry for the typo here, you know its ILA ;) ) , Spring/summer makes me go blindly after florals . I chose the floral denim pair over the regular blue denims.These are easy to carry as the print is very delicate & feminine.Keeping in tune with the flavor of summer,i picked up neon accessories for a touch of LIME :)

The look also caters to a slightly cold weather by addition of a pastel cardigan which is very airy as well.

A tan leather bag & you balance the feminine accents in this look.Would you try this look?

Holiday Inspiration- Turq-ish Neon

As i plan my vacation, the excitement is bound to spill all over the blog! Before i hit the destination, i thought i will keep some posts ready for you to read while i holiday ! And when i am back, you will get to see my holiday style diaries !

Colored denims have become a mass hit with the Indian women , thanks to all the brands that are stocking up on these ,season after season. In fact the latest ones to hit the market are floral and printed denims!

This orange denim is a gift from a dear friend from my favorite store H&M (Feb 2012). I never wore it as i was looking for the perfect top which i finally found in this Max front-tie knot cropped top ,layered on a white tee.I love this cropped beauty so much i am layering it with almost every dress i want to brighten up!

Vacations need hydrated lips & hence i have featured one of my favorite Lip butters - the Revlon lip butter in Cherry Tart. Its a muted red that can safely give a red tint to your lips without looking garish.

I am crazy about rings in big sizes & this eye-catchy 'eye ring' is a piece of art indeed!

I have not seen any flea market versions yet. So grab yours from Splash Fashions before they run out!

(I do not want to depress you lovely people.But when you lose a loved one, its the end of a part of your life.There comes a void like never.My dear papa has descended into a world where none of us mortals have gone, but i will continue to do everything so that he notices his child from far away.

Nautical fashion 2012 : Casual Chic

Nautical fashion is all over the runway this Spring/Summer.And why should it not be?

It has an interesting history of 150 years.I know you're curious, so read it all here.

This trend can be worn anyway- casual,formal or party-wear.

Its simple yet classy ,thanks to Coco Chanel who included the classic Breton stripes a.k.a Nautical stripes in female fashion for the first time in 1921 when women were trapped in corsets(imagines & laughs!). All the innovations in fashion by Coco Chanel , are those which women gladly accept today as if it was their second nature.Coco celebrates her Birthday in August, so i will try to highlight as many styles from her in some of my posts till August.A promise that is tough, but doable,what say?

Lets see how we can rock the casual nautical look.

The typical nautical look uses colors like RED,NAVY and White.
Prints include stripes which can be horizontal,vertical or slanting.
Other prints would signify all things that a sailor-man can be identified with like Anchors,stars,Compass,etc.
This look is so versatile it can be worn throughout the year in various fabrics according to the weather.
When accessorizing, think GOLD, as Gold combined with Reds and blues oozes Royal elegance.Think Prince William :)
Want to add some glamour?
A Red lipstick that suits your complexion will be your best bet.Make heads turn .Since the whole look is simplified, a red lip-color will only do justice to it even when you are out in the sunlight.
