The blurring lines between men's and women's fashion are the favorite runway trends of 2016. Androgyny in fashion becomes obvious when you can clearly identify elements borrowed from the opposite sex. However, I would like to coin a new word for a milder androgyny where you can't tell which piece was borrowed. But I cant zero in on one. You may want to call this unisex, but then the shop isnt calling it as one! So lets keep thinking what we want to call this.
Case in point- My pompous jacquard jacket bought from the men's section of a famous menswear boutique in Mumbai. I saw it, I tried it, I bought it, much to the dismay of my better half. I tried convincing he can wear it too, but he wasnt attracted one percent to this jacket which i held dearly.
An year later, I got a chance to pair it with a flowy palazzo and an airy white blouse. This jacket worked wonders for the entire look and he was in agreement this time! The jacket had finally won hearts!
