Of the noble ruins that remain of this ampitheatre from AD 80, two thirds has been destroyed by lightening, fires, earthquakes & other unfortunate events! Standing 85.28 feet high and 161.3 ft wide ,it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and the most beautiful in the world.A traditional legend holds that if visitors throw a coin into the fountain, they are ensured a return to Rome. You think i tried this? Keep guessing ;)
