Marina Grande, a hill lined with elaborate Villas in Capri |

The color of the water is so unbelievable, I kept pinching myself ! |
From Rome to Naples in a train. Then a ship that sailed for an hour in the turbulent waters landed us in the heavenly blue island of CAPRI. If only the eyes could believe such beautiful waters existed. I still look at the pictures and wonder at the beauty, that was CAPRI. A gorgeous triple flavor Banana Split cured my sea-sickness after we took a 2 hour sail around the island. The centre of Capri called Piazzetta & can be reached by a Funicolar which is a cable train that gives you the most striking view of the island cutting across lemon-groves & gardens. The famous Limoncello lemons are amusingly huge and tangy. If you want to try the juice, mix with orange juice. Don't be fooled by the size of this island, it has every designer store from Salvatore Ferragamo to Miu Miu. And yes, do not forget to visit CAPRI if you visit Italy. You know why!

This boat takes you on the island tour of 1.5 hours. Avoid it if it gets too sunny. |

Ceramic art is tempting and expensive! |
